I think the officials running the city of Boston are a bunch of asshats. First, they find this Lite-Brite and have reason to believe it's a bomb. Ok, that's peachy, but from what I'm hearing, the advertising agency got in touch with officials after the first one was detonated and yet they continued blowing them up! What the fuck? Seriously, what the fuck? Who's really wasting tax payer money here?
Now if I had any say in this situation, I'd fine the ad agency for not getting the proper permits to advertise on public property and that's it. Boston and the press, you are overreacting in this "post 9-11" world. Atleast most people are getting a laugh at the press and the city of Boston. They deserve every laugh they get.

Mayor Mikey B. That kind of has a nice ring to it. Think this Green could win? :p
we'd have to start our own country, so we could build our own private city to elect you mayor of. but we wouldn't be the only residents for long. people in massachusetts talk some big liberal talk--but nine times out of ten they elect a republican governor so they won't have to pay more than a minimum in taxes. hypocrite bastards. deval patrick won because in this last election democrats were in, and because kerry healey was a pushy, opinionated woman, and no one likes those. i'm just hoping that even if he won through a fluke, he'll do enough good work that people won't show him the door in the next election.
and menino's been a great guy all in all. this thing just got the best of him, and there were a lot of reasons. i do wish he'd admit that that was what happened, though.
